English Introduction :
The Construction and Maintenance Section of the Office of General Affairs at Shih Chien University (Taipei Campus) is responsible for planning, constructing, renovating, and maintaining all campus buildings and facilities. Our team ensures that university spaces are safe, functional, and supportive of both academic and administrative activities.
We manage a wide range of services, including spatial design, integration and upkeep of mechanical and electrical systems (MEP), energy efficiency improvements, and coordination of building safety inspections. With a strong commitment to service excellence and operational efficiency, we strive to provide a well-maintained, comfortable campus environment that enhances teaching, learning, and research experiences for all members of the university community.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan and oversee construction, renovation, and repair projects across the campus

Design and optimize space usage in classrooms, laboratories, offices, and common areas

Maintain and upgrade MEP systems, including plumbing, electrical, air conditioning, fire safety, and low-voltage systems

Manage campus infrastructure and public facilities, ensuring proper functionality and safety

Coordinate regular building inspections (e.g., seismic, fire, and general safety), and follow up on necessary improvements

Collaborate with academic departments to develop innovative, multifunctional, and interdisciplinary learning spaces

Process and schedule repair and maintenance requests submitted by faculty, staff, or departments

Support the university’s development goals through mid- and long-term campus space planning
